Good morning!

We are so happy with our doors!  The installer was great and offered us some help with another situation.  This past spring we thought about switching our wooden hinged patio door for a slider style with mini blinds in between the panes of glass. Our first discussion was with a guy at Menards and he totally dissuaded us from proceeding.  His reasoning is that the sill would be a tripping hazard.  We mentioned this to the installer yesterday and he said there are doors with low sills and it could be done. So we're rethinking and will revisit it next spring.

DDIL was given the day off yesterday so she came with DS and the kids.  The buffalo wings were excellent.  DGD asked if she could help me cook so she stirred the sauce.  I left some of the wings plain for her and her brother.  She likes barbecue sauce to dip them in.  They both ate like champs.

The shop at the car dealership opens at 8:00AM  so we're leaving early this morning, in time to get there then.  DH will miss his morning meeting but he has someone else who can run it.

DH is on his own for food today.  I'm going to my HS reunion tonight and will be eating there.

ETA - on our way out to the garage and DH double checked the opening time.  9:00AM 🙄 He swears it said 8:00 when he looked yesterday.  So, now we're stalling for a little while.

@RedTop   Would you please share the Baked Steak Recipe?  I bake most of what I eat in my Breville oven!  Thanks!

Spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread and tossed salad.  Making a pineapple upside down cake to have with vanilla ice cream for dessert.  Looking forward to a nice afternoon to walk with friends along the lakefront.  Have a beautiful day!

@Zhills

I dredge the cube steak in seasoned flour and sear in a hot skillet.  Remove the browned steak and make whatever type of gravy I'm going to make (brown gravy today), add steak back, cover and bake in oven at 350 for about an hour.

Re: Whats cooking in september?

I fixed lamb chops and  polenta, fresh toms in a balsamic and olive oil with a touch of pesto, grilled zucchini spears with some aleppo over top and fresh baked foccacia!! I am getting so good Woman Very Happyat grilling the lamb!! Just prefectly cooked. I usually marinate them but last night just seasoned with s/p and a lovely herb mix.
