Re: Whats cooking in september?

Good morning everyone @ house_cat happy belated birthday to your husband I understand what you’re saying about the restaurants we prefer to eat at home also
I want to make your apple cake hopefully this week
Thank you again for sharing the recipe we really enjoy it I usually make two one to share with friends
Everyone’s food sounds so good I’ve been doing a lot of quick meals or one pot crock pot meals lately
we’ve been busy watching our grandchildren play fall ball , right now there’s 6 games a week and we try to attend them all
Tonight is a double header softball game I’m making sub sandwiches and chips , we’ll probably eat it at the ball park

Yeah it’s FALL , spring and fall are tied for my favorite time of year
I love spring with all the new but fall has pumpkin and apple which are among my favorites
It’s still hot here but hopefully after Thanksgiving it’ll cool down so I can bring out my jeans and sweaters
Have a great week everyone

I surprised myself and actually stayed in bed all night last night.  It was close to 5:00AM when I woke up.  That's "sleeping in" for me.  I'd love it if I could do that every night.  Our sweetheart cat was nearby which may have helped.  It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I find it soothing.

Nothing fancy for lunch today.  We have to do an errand around 11:00, won't get back until close to 1:00, so I'm just making a quick lunch.  Polish sausage & sauerkraut (no kraut for DH) and some steamed green beans.

Re: Whats cooking in september?

Tonight I am making Italian sausage and peppers and fried potatoes with onions. DH will have his sausage in a roll and I will have mine plain. Raining here today, but still in the 70's. Have a great day everyone.

I always sleep better when my cat sleeps with me or when my granddog is visiting and she sleeps with me.  My granddog is more cuddly than the cat and she always gives me kisses in the morning when we wake up.

Good morning everyone. Early this morning we had a big thunder storm just before ria had to leave for work.humid again showers today and rain all of tomorrow. Its good because we haven't had hardly any rain in months. I made Chicken salad yesterday and oven roasted mini colored potatoes. Peaches and cookies last night. Have day everyone.

Re: Whats cooking in september?

I made French toast for myself this morning and brought my usual pita pocket with hummus and romaine and pistachios and pickles for lunch with a seaweed snack.

Had toast and chocolate avocado pudding for dessert last night.

Have a great Wednesday!
