Re: What's the ONE thing I should buy at Trader Joe's?

Their rustic multigrain bread is really good, Kenyan coffee, pita crackers, roasted frozen corn, chicken sausage, frozen brown rice, cereals,Parmesan cheese, Seville orange marmalade, butter. Not to mention their dog food. Our dog loves it and their dog treats are excellent and much cheaper and healthier than the pet stores. Hand wash and the big green bottle of spray cleaner. I could go on and on!

Not healthy but a seasonal treat is the Almond Kringle from Racine Wi. You can cut a small portion and leave the rest in the freezer. Nuts and dried fruits. Goat cheese or Brie in individual medallions. Chocolate by the pounder (Belgium). I never bought the cookie butter in the jar but you can try it in a small chocolate bar for 99 cents - called Speculoos. Enjoy and bring a cooler.

Their frozen haricots verts French green beans are the best!

Cookie butter can be used much like peanut butter. Because it's so rich, my favorite way to enjoy it is to spread it, less than a spoonful, between two thin crisp cookies - either the lemon or coconut crispy type cookies from TJ's is good - and I have just one of these with my afternoon coffee latte.

I also like the Mexican Quiches, frozen garlic, frozen shelled edamame, the frozen large Argentinian shrimp in season, and their Mediterranean hummus. I'll stop now, but we shop there regularly.

They have fresh chicken pot pie? I've never seen it. Do they make it themselves? And it's not frozen?

It's FANTASTIC - HUGE chunks of white meat. It's near the prepared salads and guacamole in our store.

I buy all their body butters - I like the pomegranate (newest) a lot...and coconut is always available.

I get a supplement that's very inexpensive and good - it's called Very Green and has concentrated greens and lacto-bacillus.

If you could buy only one thing I would get their reusable shopping bags. They are the best I have ever used. Had some of them for many many years. Throw them in the washing machine and everything.

Everything! Rarely do you go wrong with TJ's.

Lemon tart is excellent.

Joe Joe's candy cane edition are awesome too.

Less guilt guacamole is great too.

I don't like the cookie butter. To me, it has a sickeningly sweet taste. And I have a sweet tooth!
