Re: What's on your countertop?

I am blessed in this house with a rather large kitchen so I have a lot of counter space. Thus I do have quite a bit out on the counters, but it's not really in the way because there are a lot of counters. Coffee maker - toaster - dish soap - hand soap- dish drainer - KA mixer - knife rack - cookie jar - canisters - glass trivet . On the kitchen table is a tray with salt/pepper - honey - napkin holder -and medicine boxes.

Big Red - my Pro Kitchen Aid mixer

Four kitty placemats on top of the microwave (we use them when we feed the cats their breakfast and dinner)

Keurig (but I keep the Keurig carousel in a cabinet

I still have my Winterberry dishes out, so there's a large pitcher, meat platter and cookie jar on the counter next to the stove. I always have a large pitcher; it changes with whatever dishes I'm using at the time. I keep my utensils: spatulas, wooden spoons, microplanes, whips, etc. in the pitcher.

Will be putting the Winterberry stuff away this coming weekend and getting my Fiesta dishes out for spring. I have a large Laurel Burch cat pitcher with large matching coffee mugs to display on the counter....I will put my cooking utensils in that for spring. I like having my utensils out; I can grab as I go and it saves me so much time.

You name your appliances? That reminds me of my Dad who always named his car {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Um, yes, but only the ones I use all the time, so it's just my mixers with names. {#emotions_dlg.laugh} My cars have all had names, too. Hannah is the name of my Hyundai Tucson. (Hannah, the Hyundai)

Re: What's on your countertop?

The Vitamix, the Keurig, a tray with whey mix and the battery-operated Rabbit mixer, some cookbooks, a rabbit chef statue with the chalkboard attached, a Sodastream, and some Kay Finch pottery (which I collect, mid-20th century California pottery). And some photos of "the kids," present and some who've crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I am a clutter-aholic. I like stuff. The Origami (from HSN) island has books I need to read on the bottom shelf, the QVC flying pig flameless candle luminary on the top shelf, and then I put anything which needs attention in a basket on that shelf. The butcher block top is clear except for the day's mail or something like that.

Not very much! Microwave, coffee maker, toaster, jar of pasta. I like to keep the counters clutter free. Have thinned out seldom used kitchen items so I have room to place appliances and necessary stuff inside the cabinets.

Re: What's on your countertop?

On smaller counter, can opener, knife block, blender, toaster. On long counter, KitchenAid and microwave and various little items, cat treat can, Quik, napkin holder. On the stove, bowl with pot holders and a metal container holding spatulas, etc. On medium counter a coffee maker, an electric teakettle. It's a relatively small kitchen, but it's the most counter space we've ever had.

Re: What's on your countertop?

Too much and I don't have a lot of space nor do I have an island. I have: Mini Keurig and a cute bowl holding K-cups, Knife block, Vitamix, fairly small KA food processor; stand holding paper towels; fruit bowl, toaster, KA mixer. Looks too cluttered, but it is things I need. I also leave 2 or 3 mugs out as décor but I really shouldn't as I don't have the room.
