The main difference is that one is cheaply made, prone to cracking and crazing...often breaks in the package before you even receive it and costs less.

The other is heavier, better quality and LESS prone to cracking & crazing and costs more.

Another difference is that TT has TONS of complaints on the community forums - not so many for RR - in fact I don't recall seeing one re: cracking and crazing and sudden breakage on RR's pieces. I'm sure you can update me if you have seen one on the forums...or if that has been the title for one re: RR.

They are similar in that both are made in China.

I am not going to bring the "Temp-tation" arguments here on the Kitchen & Food Forums. Here is not the place to argue about TT, there are too many "nicer" posters here than on the TT forum and I am sure that they do not want or care about this. You can keep saying there are a TON of complaints, yes there are some problems (percentage wise...not so much, even though one problem is really too many as with any other bake ware, compared to the millions of sets sold, but the majority of posts over there are like the ones (and by the ones posted above) that have only had ONE problem with TT but they keep posing over & over again about the same problem. I have many times that I was sorry that they had a problem but have also said that the best thing to do would be to let go & move on to another bake ware that you do enjoy and let those that enjoy TT do the same.

Like I said before, go look & read the reviews about RR as well as TT.

Now I'm curious - why oh why do you bold totally random words in a post?

I was very curious about this poster apologizing also. I think she is very invested in the particular line. Very strange!!!!

Temptations crack terribly. I have not had a peice yet that didn't. However they are wonderful at replacing, but the replacements cracked as well.

Britbrit13, lol...I hear you on that! all bake ware break & crack, maybe TT sooner than others but there are many other types/kinds of bake ware out there to use..sometimes there are too many choices! IMO, choose whatever you enjoy..buy a piece or 2 of something and try it out before you "dive in". I have old (vintage) pyrex & corning ware that I use from time to time handed down to me. It still works great but can be very hard to clean also! The more expensive bake ware (am sure someone will remember the name) is good but way too expensive for me to use everyday (I have several pieces but use only for special occasions). HTH

Congratulations. You are finally facing reality and admitting that TT MAYBE breaks & cracks sooner than others.

Because that is the nice thing to do and I would & do say the same thing to anyone else that has had the same problem with any other bake ware or any other items. Just a nice thing to say.... ${#emotions_dlg.biggrin}$

Oh, I get it is a nice thing to do - to be empathetic, I get that. But you feel this sort of obligation to apologize to EACH and EVERY single post with a TT quality issue (and there are quite a lot of those so it must be a burden for you). That's very different than a "Oh, I'm sorry that happened to you" thing.

Basically there is no difference lol. I own both and except for the colors they are the same sort of thing. I like them both

TY Gkelly, RR does have pretty dishes but you can not keep them clean. Take care my friend!!
