I have had both - and have given both as presents...and Rachael Ray's bakeware is MUCH better quality.

I'm not into mid-century modern designs like her bubble & brown pieces, but her cucina sets are fantastic.

There is absolutely NO COMPARISON in terms of quality - Rachael wins in a landslide!

My TT has cracked and crazed...with minimal use and handwashing. RR's items last and last.

I also have both--RR's was a Christmas gift

Both are Made in China

Both have cracking/breaking problems per reviews (look for yourself & not what someone else says)

Both have great reviews & bad reviews

I agree with hh, both are different styles, it's just what you like and doesn't mean you can only have one type of bake ware. I personally don't ike the "sloping" sides, just doesn't look right to me but that doesn't mean that someone else likes that bout RR's things.

I went to respond to this post, and it appears the gkelly's response was edited, yet I can't see where it shows edited on the screen. When I first saw this post the first line of her reply was "Educate yourself". Then it was gone when I clicked in to quote the post.

I really don't know much about how this works, but if someone edits their post, doesn't it say so?

I really don't like how with this particular poster, strange things keep happening, and things keep disappearing. What is up with that?

Hi mom...it used to say Edited and a date - but it doesn't show it anymore. You can go back and edit anytime and it won't show. Some posters do that a lot.....

I'm editing now, but it won't show that I did it. I wonder if someone was admonished for something...things have been very quiet for a couple of days.

I really don't like that an edit isn't being shown now. I don't mind when people edit their own work, as it is usually spelling or adding an afterthought, but how goofy is it to read a post, enter a response, and by the time you get yours posted, the post to which you are referring no longer has the same context. That is a way to bait people to responding in a way that comes off looking like they are stupid or confrontational.

I am beginning to wonder if it is worth posting on Q anymore, we either can't speak our minds (think viewpoints forum) or everything gets poofed when someone cries. Sigh.

I think you made a very valid point -- as we have seen recently..... Also, it's interesting how when you respond sometimes with appropriate remarks which happen to be negative, then someone else responds by twisting your words. Then your post disappears, and only theirs remains, which can make you look bad....interesting. (and I'm editing again...)

If you don't like the sloping side pieces (like the TSV) you can always buy the cucina line. Those have a solid weight and heft that TT lacks, and they are stylish and quality.

Yes, unlike Fiesta, that are made in China like TT. But Lidia's pieces were made in China too.

There are degrees of quality in Chinese stoneware, just like any other country.

TT would be cheap and prone to cracking even if it was made in the USA. They cut corners to save money & keep down weight (and shipping charges).

Cheap is cheap...no matter where it originates.

The OP's question was about the "differences" between TT & RR. I was only stating facts...BOTH have reviews stating breakage/cracking. I was only trying to answer the OP's question NOT argue.. but there is no reason for me to look at RR cucina pieces & if I was, it would be TT, since I am not in the market for any bake ware right now but thanks for the heads up!

if you like RR's bake ware..fantastic, if you like Lidia's..great...everyone enjoys what they enjoy!!

I wonder if she's going to restock or add to the Cucina line...I really like that, and I'm strongly considering trying a couple of pieces. I just can't decide which color!

To each his own. . .I have a large collection of TT OW cranberry serving pieces. I am very happy with the way it looks/cooks. I have given even more TT, RR and VPH pieces as gifts. I think the trick is to purchase what you like and USE/ENJOY it every day
