Morning,
Love your pictures, Preds.
Father's Day was hard. Have many little chores around the house to do today.
Still dealing with the VA and billing. I'm on hold with the billing from the hospital in Florida. Always paper work.
Hope everyone iis doing well.

Nice to see you Soushi. I'm sure Fathers Day Was tough. It just seems hard to breathe today. To think summer has just begun. How did you make out with Miss Mary, Freddie. Were you able to take her some food? Hi to everyone in the kitchen.

Afternoon, hot/humid here but there is a breeze so it's not too bad, just got some dirt around my hydrangenas, pulled a few weeds, there are so many, but then I'd had enough so I quit
@Soushi24, glad to see you popped in, so much paperwork, etc to attend to, it'll take some time & is very frustrating, just hang in there, it'll all come together, not that your pain will go away but it's a diversion.
Hoping to grill tonite if no rain
@Winifred hope you're staying cook & resting

Hey Soushi - sure glad to see you. You are the backbone of this thread - understand for sure how difficult it is but we have missed you. Paperwork is gruesome for sure - detest doing it and to me so very much seems to be redundant.
Can you believe it is still 105 out in the carport. That is horrible. Got to 112 here today - not my idea of a good day. In Palm Springs, where I worked for many years it got to 121. Enough is enough of this and it looks as if the entire week will be H O T !!!
Am hoping the people next door to me where Mrs. Bouldin once lived are moving. They had a UHaul and very very slowly was moving stuff out into it. Please say a prayer this is what it looks like. They are the one s who took in two more roomers - not suppose to do that as they are renting the house - and all park outside on the street and get in everyone's way - (4 cars) including the post office delivery person and the trash pick up people. Has been a nightmare.
Sure wish I could cool off. Am NOT cooking tonight - did that last night - LOL - but have bagels, meat and carrots from last night and other assorted things to eat quickly. Of which is half my breakfast sandwich I got this morning - could not get it all - fried egg, well done bacon on a jalapeno bun. Boy howdy some good but could only eat half of it.

Another dumb hot day but thank goodness not as bad as yesterday. That does NOT mean it was not miserable, just not like yesterday. And the experts say this is basically continuing. Triple digits again in a few day - well it did hit triple digits today - so what is different.?
Hope one and all stayed calm, cool and collected.

Last night, I fixed chicken thighs and zucchini fritters. Every year, I go through my recipe files and clean them out, sort of, because once I see one that looks good, I can't toss it, so in the end, it doesn't accomplish much.
The fritters is one of the host's recipes which I have had for years, must have taken it out of a magazine. The dough didn't create a crispy exterior so wasn't happy about that, but DH loved them, of course I put lots of parmesan cheese on his. The recipe makes a ton of batter, so we will be having them again soon.
