Lovely here today I'm having a procedure at hospital tomorrow so no eating or drinking after midnight. Wednesday I get my hearing aids so I am getting myself fixed. Oops. I mean taken care of.

Good day here also, low 70's, perfect! Ran some errands this am, then been in the kitchen, things take so much longer these days. Stuffed 4 artichokes, will do chicken thighs over stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans DS brought from a Wisc farm (he also brought corn, had that last nite & put the rest in the freezer) seems like I've been cooking all day, years ago it'd be a piece of cake, hah! anyway when I get the chicken in the oven I'm heading out to the deck with a martini, see you later.................

Good Afternoon,
Busy day for me again. Went to the acuputure doctor again, this is the 4th visit. It has really helped but I still have some pain.
Had to stop on the way home at several of my favorite shops. Bought slacks, scarf, and necklace.
Going to the last musical of the season tonight. Sad as that seems like the end of Summer.
Here is a recipe I copied today. Looks good to me.
Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers
1 lb Thinly Sliced Sirloin Steak (or you can use deli roast beef)
8 Slices Provolone Cheese
4 Large Green Bell Peppers
1 Medium Sweet Onion
1 pound White Mushrooms
3 Tbs. Butter
3 Tbs. Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper – to taste
DIRECTIONS
Slice a thin piece off each pepper lengthwise, remove ribs and seeds.
Slice onions and mushrooms. Saute over medium heat with butter, olive oil, and a little salt and pepper. Saute until onions and mushroom are nice and caramelized. About 25-30 minutes. Salt and pepper the steak and saute in a little olive oil until just not pink. About 5 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400*
Add steak to the onion/mushroom mixture and stir to combine.
Line the inside of each pepper with a slice of provolone cheese.
Fill each pepper with meat mixture until they are overflowing.
Top each pepper with another slice of provolone cheese.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese on top is golden brown.

Soushi, if you can find a way to get rid of pain, let me know. My two thumbs cause me agony and it is getting more and more difficult to use my hands well. Geesh. Do hope you get rid of that miserable stuff known as pain.
Saw a recipe somewhere - where did my memory go? - and am trying it, Use a pork roast or pork loin - boneless, put it in the slow cooker - 2 or 3 pounds or whatever you have - and mix peach salsa and barbecue - both 16 oz containers and spread it over the meat. Mine is sure smelling good. Had a real hard time finding the pork however - scarce for some reason and what most everyone had was chops, etc and ALL with bones. Also had a hard time NOT putting cut onions in it. LOL. They say cook it from 6 to 8 hours - I put it in at 8:30 this morning and will probably eat somewhere around 5:30 or so.
Hope all ate well and had a great day.
Will let you know how it comes out. Am having fried cabbage - YUMMY - and perhaps some frozen French Fries - will heat them of course. Groan.
Forgot to mention that these are actually viewed as pulled pork - I had some great ww rolls and nuked them for a few seconds and put the meat over one split. You could eat it like a burger but it sure would be sloppy. By the way it was super good and the fried cabbage was a very good go with. NO French Fries.

Morning all,
Anyone want to guess why we have 2 August topics going on at the same time? Same thing happened last month. Strange and confusing.
Wen to the play last night "Little Women the Musical" and was pleasantly surprised. Had read and heard mixed reviews. My group all liked it. Had dinner first next door to playhouse.. I had chicken fingers and broccoli. All good.
Have a 50th Anniversary Party for friends tonight in Fort Wayne. There are 11 of us going. Should be fun.
Best to all, enjoy the day.

Soushi, I cannot find another August topic. Is it called the very same thing? Weird.
