Merle and I made a run to Costco for an adjustment On my hearing aids. While there we got a little massage with a machine they were selling. It felt good. We bought some peaches and cashews. Big shoppers, That's us for sure Forget about tasting any samples. I swear those old men in there were hungry. One came up to me and pointed out a vendor that was selling dark chocolate with almonds and a couple other things. He said its so good it is sinful. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. We stopped in a neighborhood restaurant to get something light for lunch but they were serving honey pecan chicken. I ordered it and ate the whole thing over rice. Won't need to eat tonight. Merle got ready to mow and showers came. Well tomorrow is another day

Grilled chops, green beans and potatoes tonight. Leftovers.
Trying to clean out the fridge. Normally I cook on Sundays for the week, but I'm spending the day with my daughter. Have no clue what we'll eat next week, but we will "get 'er done". LOL

Do buy the rotissere chicken , so good. Big size chicken and only $4.99. Well worth the money. Can eat on it, then shred for chicken salad, chicken and noodles, chicken soup, etc.

Anika, I want to come to your house! Sounds so good. I made chili last night and have a can of pumpkin on the counter for pumpkin dessert. Guess I'm in the mood for fall food.

Made chili last night and now want to make Pumpkin Dessert. This is one of my all time favorites and have made for years. However, can't find my original recipe. This is very similar so will go with it.
You can't go wrong on this recipe. Always, always get requests for recipe.
Pumpkin Dessert
1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 package yellow cake mix (regular size)
3/4 cup butter, melted
1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Directions
1. In a large bowl, beat first five ingredients until smooth.
2. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with cake mix and drizzle with butter. Top with walnuts.
3. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. serve with whipped cream.

Going to use this today with a pork roast.
Brown Sugar BBQ Pork Butt
1/4 cup (packed) light brown sugar
2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (4-5-pound) bone-in pork butt
Preparation
Combine sugar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Place pork in foil tray and rub all over with sugar mixture, then cover tray with foil and chill overnight.
Cooks' Note Instead of grilling, you can roast the pork in a 325°F oven. Place pork in a roasting pan, cover with foil, and bake, basting every 30 minutes, until pork is very tender, 4–5 hours.

I wouldnt grill a piece of meat this large with sugar on it, as the meat would have to cook for a long time, slow and low, and the sugar would burn very quickly.
