I've got my green on and corned beef in the slow cooker. DH and I are huge fans of reuben sandwiches, so that's what I'm making for dinner tonight.  I didn't find any good rye bread in the stores (I shopped 3), so I bought some rye flour/ caraway seeds and baked my own loaf - it's delicious. We have tickets for a Celtic concert in a near by (lovingly restored) opera house tonight; can I say I've been looking forward to today for weeks.  HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

@lork  Care to share the recipe? Smiley Happy

Re: What's Cooking for March

Morning all,

Again, not much cooking here. We had a premade salad for dinner. Lunch for me was out with friends at a hugh Chinese buffet. So many choices. Nelson had the rest of the peel and eat shrimp.

Nelson has had some bad spells again. I thought we had him doing better but he has 3 sleepless nights in a row. Which means I have had 3 bad nights too.

Weather is wonderful here. In the 80's all week. Cooler on Saturday and some rain expected. That's okay. They need it.

Might go see Star Wars this afternoon. I'm curious and it is something we could do together.

Enjoy the day.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Soushi, sorry to hear Nelson is having more problems. Tell him he has a sympathizer out in Sou Cal. This entire week - off and on - I have had a lot of problems and am unbelievably dizzy. No comments on that, but have just felt miserable - no pain at all jst gasping for air. Also taking real deep breaths. Oxygen at night does NOT seem to help at all.

Pretty darn warm today - got up near 90. Air just is not as clean as it once was - darn it all anyway.

Cleaned out the Fridge tonight - there comes a time when one has to do that and even so, still have to toss some food out - not wanting to hold on to some of it any longer.

Tomorrow morning am going to a breakfast meeting in Redlands, Stonecroft MInistries, and must pick up Jeannie and take her. Then she and I are leaving there panicking back to Yucaipa to pick up Miss Mary and then head to the Bryant Street Baptist Church for a Tom Sawyer potluck at 11:30. Not real sure between the two meals - always good and this is a first time they hit the same day, just how much I will eat. Then drop Miss Mary off back home, then Jeannie and then come home and probably collapse. Lot of driving and eating. LOL.

Nave no clue what for dinner - in my head it sounds like pizza time as I will be in no mood to cook and others love pizzas.

Hope all had a great day.

Soushi, hope Nelson turns the good corner soon.   Weather is still so unpredictable here.   They say there is a possibility of some snow flurries today.   Still the grass is definitely looking greener.

We have a birthday party this afternoon but it will be over in time for some March madness.  Oh my.
