Re: What's Cooking for March

Spix, did you try the air fryer last night? Anxious to hear how it works for you.

Preds, got through the first meeting with the tax guru, usually nothing more than than until I am called to come and pay and sign stuff. One never knows however.

Soushi, that recipe looks really good - have tried several things you have posted and they are all excellent.

No big cooking, etc here in Sou Cal yesterday. Picked up my car - Ouch, paid the deductible, tax man in San Bernardino, Davey to and from school (just still do not like making two round trips daily to do that, they should never have tossed the school buses) and could not manage my hair appointment so will do that this morning. Sure am glad she SOMETIMES is flexible. LOL. We had 7 -11 pizza's last night for dinner - no choice other than one - pepperoni. Not bad but I love veggies on my pizza. Guess I am just hard to please. Also got a few loads of clothes washed and one load actually hung out on the line. Have more washing to do but doubt if any will make the clothes line - another big storm coming in for early afternoon.

I need to get in gear - am fighting my computer as yesterday after coming home from one of my trips in the morning my computer was loading Windows 10 - that stupid thing drove me insane. I was not a happy camper at all. Figured out I probably caused the whole thing but did not mean to. I had signed up to get it Free but put a hold on it several months ago - have had no problems - guess they got tired of waiting. Sure is different and I cannot find a lot of things. As I find the time will try and get it all figured out. My big thing is I cannot easily find my security system and the one time I accidentally found it, it told me nothing. LOL.

Hope all have a great day = stay warm.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Morning,

Spent an interesting afternoon learning about Essential Oils. There are many uses and different companies out there. Did purchase just a couple of the oils, will receive them in a few days.

Not much cooking here. Will need to start using up food I've stock piled. Do not want a lot to haul home.

Weather is wonderful. Loving it. Guess it is warm at home too.

Hope all is well with everyone. Enjoy this day.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Bev, it is 36 degrees here today.  Sun is supposed to show up but so far it is a no show

Three of the local golf courses opened today.  Bet they will be out there with their ear muffs on.  The tv didn't make the greens look very good.

I dont know when we get the next warm up but I'm ready for it.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Mercy me - PIZZA AGAIN tonight. NOT planned and I had actually started fixing dinner - put everything on hold except the green beans - we had them with the pizza. Don, the fellow who works at the school district brings us one or two a month - not sure exactly how they do it but on Fridays, they have extra. They are huge and they are very good. He is so nice to always think of us - much appreciated.  Therefore, will have a regular dinner tomorrow.

Cold, wet and windy right now although the rain seems to have stopped - it should start up again before very long.

Hope your day was a good one.

Re: What's Cooking for March

Oh, my, Yock! What happened to all that warm weather? Sorry. Guess it was a teaser.

We went to the island yesterday. Anne Maria island that is. Had breakfast out at a small local diner. They are the best, i think. Then we just sat at the beach for awhile enjoying the sun and the waves. Pretty simple but relaxing.

Had a late lunch of sandwiches and chips. Snacked for dinner. So no cooking here.

No plans today.

Re: What's Cooking for March

I changed my clocks last night so why did I sleep two hours later than the norm. Can understand one, but not two and had to struggle to get up then. I am normally somewhat up and moving by 4, occasionally 4:30. This morning? 6:05 and would love to go back to bed. I think the time change also impacts the brain - drastically. LOL. If I went back to bed would go right back to sleep. .

Had a great roast with onion and baby carrots and baked potatoes last night. Salad mixings were available for those who wanted it.

Well the mornings are back to being pitch black - will really enjoy daylight later in the day but I do not like this darkness at all - never have.

Hope one and all have a very good day. Am sure church will be great as usual - always enjoy that time.

Re: What's Cooking for March

No first time cooking last night as the Fridge was full of leftovers - even one big baked potato in there. We ate well and still some food left.

We had more rain last night - not a lot but every drop will help us down the line. More expected later today.

Back to school for Davey and then the next two weeks are Spring Break - awfully early for that in my book. For some weird reason our school district has it a week or two earlier than anywhere else around here. I like the old idea of April which was closer to Easter but then Easter is just around the corner so even it is "early" this year.

Hope everyone is eating well and have a great day.
