Happy New Year. Put my 
Black eyed peas in water to sit overnight so shortly will get them on the stove - also the collards. Later cornbread will be fixed, cooked and eaten. Only mean I have eaten for January 1st for a lot of years. Yes indeed.

My first dinner of 2021 is going to be chicken, rice, some vegetable (undetermined).  An easy meal.

I am already hungry. LOL

 My store had no black peas to be found ! The shelf was sold out - no canned beans and no dried. I made Hummus  instead, hope they count for good luck !

@skatting44 :  This happened to me last year, so during my Thanksgiving dinner shopping, I stocked up on black eyed peas.  We are going to have that with Krusteaz honey cornbread.  Happy New Year!!!
