I buy Best Foods mayo always & have never paid $9.00. It's usually between $5-$6. I don't eat Miracle Whip so don't know how it compares.

I have a couple recipes I need BF only. I bought the small jar, and that was 4.89. The quart when on sale is 6.99. I guess the quart isn't even a quart anymore, but you know what size I speak. I know it isn't 9 bucks, but it is around 8 dollars regular price.
Everything went up a week ago. Whole Foods prices are so bad, I won't shop there often at all. I go to Trader Joes, Costco or a Community market over the hill. Here is an example, a smaller box of Barbara's Oat Square cereal is 6 dollars at Whole Foods. The same brand (Barbara's) at Trader's in a larger box is 3.99. The natural chicken (whole) is 5.99lb and breasts parts are 9.99 LB yesterday at WF. I get organic breast parts for 5.99-6.99 everyday at conventional market They said they had a price hike across the board . YIKES!!
I used Veganaise as well. Haven't used traditional mayo in many years since they have GMO soy in them.
I shop at Whole Foods as well. I've noticed a price increase in some of their products. But I just shop for myself, which makes it easier to purchase what I want. TJ's definately has better prices, especially if it's the same product they sell as WF's.

The mayonaisse may have been mismarked however, food prices are going up and up. My food bill each week is out of control. For just my husband and I , I now spend as much, if not more, than I spent when our kids lived at home. Sometimes I just stand there, staring at the shelf at an item, muttering to myself.

LOL..I find myself doing the exact same thing on items in the grocery store that I don't have as "staples" and need for a certain recipe. Shaking my head and thinking "what happened"? We use quite a but of mayo, usually not Hellman's and the cost for a regular jar is between $2.50-$3.98 and I have stocked up with the BOGO's so I have gotten regular size jars for $1.25 a jar!!
