As My3 girls stated, I also have the Bunn MCU. You can use it for K-cups, water, coffee or tea pods or ground coffee. I got mine from Lowe's last year. I love it. Every 3 or 4 months they e-mail me to clean it out with vinegar. I think I signed up for this on their web-site. I need all the reminders I can get.

I really do not drink much coffee, but I love tea. All my family and friends are thrilled that I finally have a coffee maker that takes K-cups.

Hope this helps....

If you get another Keurig, you don't have to get one with the water on demand feature to get water on demand. Just lift the front handle like you are going to insert a Kcup and then put the handle down again. You can then just push the button for the size cup you are using and you will get hot water in that amount. I do this all the time and use tea bags instead of Kcups. If your Keurig isn't working correctly, call their customer service line and they may very well replace it!

This doesn't involve K-cups, but I just heard Hamilton Beach has a new coffee maker where you just put a scoop of loose coffee in to make individual cups. When my Keurig bites the dust, I'm going to check out the reviews on this. I think it's fairly new, so there may not be many reviews yet.

I'm not sure if you're talking about The Scoop, but I've had mine for approx. a year, and I love it! There's a newer version, but I love the one I have.

It's so simple - The filter is a scoop, and you scoop whatever coffee you like into it. It brews one cup at a time, and can do tall cups & short ones. No paper filters, no mess, simple clean-up, easy to get the strength you want, environmentally friendly. (The newer version takes up more space & has a carafe option also.)

I am absolutely in love with it! I got it from BB&B for approx. $60, and I bought another one a few months ago as a back-up because I do not want to ever be without it. As you said misschristy, it doesn't use k-cups, so this doesn't really answer the OP's question. But I wanted to respond to you, and also thought it might be of interest to others.

I just ordered the Bunn MCU from Amazon after checking out various brewers and reviews. I'm looking forward to trying out different coffees and teas. This will be our first single serve brewer.

I am tired of all the kuerig issues also. Wish I could just get a bigger cup of coffee. Don't want or need a carafe, need a 160z coffee. Will look into these models when this ons stops working. Shopping girl
