I had a friend, who when she received a good recipe would share with all her friends.  She said if she missed placed the recipe she could come to one of us for it.

@MacDUFF  Would you put the walnuts on top?  I don't think they would work in the brown sugar and butter mixture.  I love almost any kind of nuts and think they make lots of recipes better, but can't imagine them in cracker candy.  I think I would try them on just part of the candy and leave the other part without.  Then you could decide which way you liked it best.  Just a suggestion.

 

This is making me want to make it again.  I made it recently for my two housekeepers and kept some for me.  I finished my last piece yesterday.

We only make two things anymore.  His (Czech) mother's secret recipe, and my (Dutch) mother's secret recipe.  In fact, today was the day and we have the flour covering to prove it :-)
