What do you call the rubberized ring?  I obviously need a new one.

Gasket or rubber seal.  I have used those  jars all my life and really like them.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I bought a bunch of those at Amazon recently.  My old ones were a reddish brown but the new ones fit perfectly.

@m0rganhow are they sized, by total diameter?.  This is a really big jar, holds a Costco sized bag of coffee.

As @m0rgan wrote looking on Amazon is a good place to start.

I used to can tomatoes and made fruit jams and can them.

It got to the point I could not find canning lids with the sealing ring attached. Gave up on canning stuff.

Good Luck @Icegoddess finding what you need.

@Icegoddess

I found sealing rings at Amazon to fit my larger jars by first looking up the jars (either brand or by size) and then searching for seals thru the "bought together" suggestions or searching further thru Amazon's suggestions.  Just a thought on how to go about a search for a weird thing... I resort to this when I don't know exactly what to ask for and sometimes it works.  Woman LOL

ETA:  Could also take a measurement and try searching for the diameter of your old seal.

I measured across the lid where the gasket goes and bought closest size.  I have 2 different size containers but the lids were the same size.

@m0rgan, Thanks. I found a 3.8" with a 2.7" inner diameter that may work.  I'm thinking maybe the ring squished to fill the full 4" of the lid.  The jar is a 2.0L square jar.
