One of my grandmothers was a whiz with her little Sunbeam mixer bought around 1950.  It was really small.

Apparently, my GF grew up with dessert at every meal.  We had cakes and fruit pies, occasionally a cobbler.

One item I really didn't like was a pound cake, though, as an adult, I did like a chocolate pound cake.

Pound cake is kind of bland by itself.  I like it warmed up with fruit and whipped cream!

My least favorite is fruitcake.

Can't think of any cake I don't like but I definitely do not like key lime pie--ugh!

Fruit cake is my least favorite by far. I did not like my Grandmother's, and I liked everything she made except fruit cake.

Hands down banana!  I will eat an occasional banana because I like them plain or on a sandwich with peanut butter.  I do not like real bananas in cake or pudding, and I don't like banana flavoring.  

My husband loves pound cake; heavy on vanilla and almond flavoring.

Angel food cake.  Too light, fluffy, airy, and tasteless to me.  Oh and chiffon sponge cakes too.  

I like a dense, heavy stick-to-the-ribs kind of cake.
