Well so much for quality control

I finally caved and bought jimmy the baker cinnamon rolls with 2 tubs of icing. Well I received them today and frosting containers were both cracked and one had leaked in the box. I live chatted with customer service and rep was apologetic and I was given a $5 credit to get in ten days. To beat all her response said I might want to contact manufacturer or go on their Webster. I laughed to my self ......what?

i have hesitated ordering food items, I wonder why.

Re: Well so much for quality control

Might not hurt to contact the vendor.  Whereas QVC wouldn't be able to send you a part of an order, as a replacement, the vendor probably could.

I recently emailed a vendor because I had ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken a few months ago on A/D.   These are just so good!  Anyway, so this month gets to my first AD.  I still have some left, but am looking forward to the next order.  I vacuum seal them so they stay pristine.

Anyway, I get an email from QVC that my order is on backorder because they don't have the stock.   I was really bummed out by that so I went to the Heartland website to see if I could just buy them there.

I didn't find them so I emailed Heartland through their website to ask if they were going to continue selling them.  I got the nicest email back from a lady saying that they are totally in stock, so she asked me for more info and said she would make sure I'm taken care of.

I am so beyond impressed and grateful for that!

I hate it when they offer something on AD and then it's like 'we don't have that - order cancelled' (have had it happen before).   If you're not going to keep stock for the amount of AD orders, then why offer it?  Smiley Sad

Anyway, sorry for the long story.  But the moral of the story is that maybe the vendor would be willing to send you another icing.   I get their pumpkin cinnamon rolls - AD order coming up - wonder if I'll even get a second order.  But they are sooooo good, as is their icing.   They are so huge it's like a whole meal!  Smiley Happy

I'm so happy to hear that the world hasn't run out of chicken, just QVC.

@Elom  You had me at "2 tubs of icing"..now I'm just sad for you.

I once ordered Georgetown Cupcakes when they were on the Q. I waited, anticipating the luciousness...saw the UPS guy, ran out to meet him. My daughter and I tried opening the packaing (pretty, pretty pink packaging) as fast as we could (we were both in the mood for cupcakes by now) and the HORROR! They shipped an empty box, with NO CUPCAKES! My daughter and I were so deflated it was sad. When I called customer service (they were very nice btw), she was even sad, but she couldn't even contain her laughter while saying "That's just WRONG!"
We received cupcakes a few days later, so all ended well. And I have to admit, it WAS funny...anyone watching us would've thought we were insane...lol

Update

i did contact the vendor, jimmy the baker, and I got an immediate response. They will be sending me the cream cheese frosting. I would say what great customer service and more than likely I will be purchasing again.

Oh, that's great!  Smiley Happy   I like knowing that a vendor is helpful and caring that you get what you ordered.

Thank you for the update!
