It is chilly and overcast today, so I'm welcoming fall with a big pot of chili. What is on your menu today ?

Spaghetti, home made meat balls and fresh veggies.

Rain was gone by noon and sun came out. We're having grilled tenderloin and baked potatoes. I made a small garden salad too.

It was a cool and pouring rain all day in my neighborhood, I made creamy potato soup with bacon and cornbread.

It was indeed a welcome first day of fall yesterday!😊 The weather was rainy AND windy! We decorated outside the front door and walkway. I baked a casserole with corn muffins and do not mean to toot my own horn but, TOOT...TOOT!😂

Thankfully, in NC we're still in the high 70's which I don't  mind because I love tomato sandwiches and lost so much summer to cataract surgery, then my foot in a boot;  I've lost my natural sunlight in the kitchen.

The shadows on the streets are long; please drive with your lights on.
