Knew Mary was gone, but didn't know she had been ill. Please elaborate. I'm clueless. What happened?

Yes please tell us what was ailing Mary.  I love her and also missed her, but thought she was just vacationing.  I haven't been watching very much lately.  I'm glad she it OK .

OMG, that is terrible.  God bless her and I hope she is rid of it now.

@luvmybeetle - She had surgery to address the cancer, which is why she was away, but the results were very positive and she won't have to undergo radiation treatments. She mentioned that the doctors told her to expect her voice to be gone for up to three months, but she said it was back in just 20 minutes.
