Waring Xtreme Raptor Container & Vitamix

I just purchased the Waring 64oz Raptor container for my 6+ yr old VitaPrep 3 and it is like not only I have a new machine but one that is better than it ever was.

As soon as I got the container I tried to make 2 things that were never possible in the 3hp VitaPrep..snow and ice cream WITHOUT the tamper and both worked like a charm..

I cannot use the Vitamix tamper (Unless I do it VERY carefully since it will easily reach the blades) but in reality I will never need it apart from peanut butter but even then I can make my own out of a few pieces of wood and a drill press, or use what I do now and that is use my Twister jar and Blendtec.

The new container was far less costly than even a new VM one and it is even better marked in both ounces and ml...

The best thing about the container design is that I did NOT even use high speed to make snow or blueberry ice cream.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

If your tamper will reach the blades then you have the wrong one or you're using it incorrectly without the lid in place. They are designed not to reach the blades and to be used only with the lid.

Excuse me the Xtreme does NOT come with a tamper.

LOL, I understood what you meant. Long time no see. Smiley Happy I envision your counters with various blenders from one end to the other.

Not only counters but I now have Origami large shelves out on the Lanai which are just outside the kitchen and really that helps keep some of the counters free :-)
