Re: WHATS COOKING iN THIS MONTH OF APRIL?

It's a cool, rainy day. We have a turkey breast in the slow cooker. Along with mashed potatoes & peas & carrots we'
won't mind the weather! DS is joining us & bringing a dessert. Finally has a day off.

As long as my food is soft & easy to swallow I can finally eat some food. Luckily my appetite is small.

Have a good evening all!

Re: WHATS COOKING iN THIS MONTH OF APRIL?

Good evening everyone. Sunny and nice today. My brother came this morning and for lunch I made pasta with beans and sauce and I took Christmas cookies out of the freezer and I had to make food for the dog and my leftovers for tonight I dropped on the floor Monday so I was going to make breakfast for dinner but when Jeff left I didn't feel like cooking so I texted ria and she ordered food from greggs .I got a cheese Burger club with fries and she got me peanut butter chocolate cake. Omg was it delicious. I'm so full. Ria got grilled cheese and cake. This morning the dog peed on rias comforter so I washed it. I threw it in the dryer and it wouldn't go on. It was the switch that stops the dryer from running. I played around with it and dryer running but after 20 minutes it stopped a few timew. I did get it dried. I have someone coming tomorrow to fix it. Its a 20 year old whirlpool dryer. I rather fix it than replace it. It still dries really well and fast.  Have a great night everyone.

Re: WHATS COOKING iN THIS MONTH OF APRIL?

[ Edited ]

I've had some really lousy sleep lately.  Yesterday I woke up around 3:00AM, never went back to sleep.  DH had a biopsy yesterday.  Nothing ever goes as quickly as one expects.  For a 20 minute procedure, they do all the admitting stuff, surgery prep, all the waiting in between, then the post-0p.  We were there for several hours.  I almost nodded off in the waiting room.  We were watching a little tv last night and I felt myself fading so I did my skincare and got in bed.  It was only like 9:00PM.  I was asleep before 10:00 and didn't wake up until about 5:15AM this morning!!  That's a major accomplishment for me.

The car repair for our son is taking way longer than expected.  It's been one thing after the other - they needed to order parts, a major thunderstorm with lightning knocked out the electricity one day so everything shut down, had a couple mechanics out, you name it.  We're crossing our fingers that it'll be ready this afternoon.  If that happens, we will meet him (kids too) to get all the switching around done and then we'll all go to Red Robin.  If it's still delayed, DH and I will figure our Plan B.

@JeanLouiseFinch, sorry about the sleep issues. As DH & I
notice the older we get it gets that way 😒 I hope your DH's procedure had a good outcome.

Dinner tonite is fresh caught Coho salmon grilled, rice with
sauteed slivered almonds & green beans.
