Re: WHATS COOKING iN THIS MONTH OF APRIL?

I just started making my own lentil, bean and pea soups from scratch. I soak the beans (peas or lentils) and I must say.....they came out delicious without preservatives or additives. My mother and my grandmother's always made their soups from scratch. I'm probably a little late in the game, but better late than never. There's nothing like homemade soup.

Re: WHATS COOKING iN THIS MONTH OF APRIL?

I met up with my lifelong girlfriends for lunch yesterday.  I ordered a grilled buffalo chicken salad.

Lunch today will be loaded grilled chicken breasts and broccoli salad.  There's still some of the keto layered strawberry dessert that we'll polish off.

Good evening everyone. Boehm collector what part of Italy are your parents from? I just called my mother in law if she ever Hurd of piconi and she said no.I'm going to show her the picture of them. She's from ITRI ITALY. she makes Easter bread every and this year the dough didn't rise so she made it again today and again it didn't rise. She's thinking it is because she used a different brand of flour. I said usually its because water temperature is to hot or to cold so yeast didn't work and she said maybe the yeast is no good. I said I bought the yeast and Mine is fine. I always keep my yeast in the freezer and it last way longer in the freezer. Its been cloudy all week and showers sometimes last few hours its been sunny finally. I had my MRI this Tuesday and my telahealth follow up was yestauday. I have 3 bulging discs in my lower back so I have an appointment next Thursday with a surgeon. So it looks like I will be having back surgery. I had back surgery 23 years ago for a different reason. Leftovers last couple nights and Wednesday night ria had a crappy day at work so she wanted to order food so we did. Have a great Easter everyone .

@Pooky1  did you ever show your mother-in-law the photos of the Piconi?

I have a little of the Easter ham diced up for ham and cheese omelets.  I'll make roasted Brussels sprouts too.  The rest of the ham is diced and in the freezer for another time or we'd start oinking!  🐷 😄
