My sister gave me a blender (?) that Montel Williams sells and I really don't know anything about it. Can someone tell me the difference between his machine and Vitamix?

I don't have Montel's blender but I have two Vitamix machines that I LOVE and use everyday. My friend purchased Montel's blender trying to save a few bucks and the thing died just outside of the 30-day money-back guarantee period. She was peeved.

The Vitamix is made in the US and has a 5 or 7 year warranty. Montel's is made in China and has a 60 day warranty (I don't know if there are multiple models, I just looked quickly on Google and saw 60 days).

Thank you for your input. I was just wondering if it was able to do some of what the vita-mix does ? I'm sure it isn't as powerful at the vita-mix but I just wasn't sure what all to use it for.

Speaking of Montel Williams, I am skeptical of anything sold by a person who puts his/her name on nearly anything. Don't forget the psychic on his infomercials!

It's apples & oranges, IMO. Go online and check the reviews. I will tell you, though, that Vitamix was doing a road show at my local Costco one time. I already had mine, but stopped to watch the demonstration. I got to talking with the guy next to me. He said he had the MW thing and that it was a piece of junk.

I really like the Vitamix. I don't trust the product from Montel--he's putting his name on everything these days.

The VitaMix is a much better machine with a proven track record of reliability. Many of the Montel machines have gone up in smoke with matching consumer reviews. The warranty alone makes the VitaMix in 1st. The Montel machine just isn't capable of doing what the VitaMix can do.
