@3threecats I'm not being sarcastic but why keep it? I'm sure know someone who would love it and use it, or sell it on e-bay. Don't keep it if you don't use it.
Edited because somehow I copied the wrong thing in the @

I'm so terrible! I hardly ever use mine. That doesn't mean it's not a great machine. It is and the company matches that.
When I was using it more, one of my favorite thing (we're not talking super healthy here) is the chocolate banana malted milkshake that is in one of the cookbooks that came with the machine. It's reminiscent of a choc/banana w/alcohol drink I used to get in the Caribbean on cruise ships. But most of all it's very tasty. ![]()
Now I can't even remember what else I've made in it. Also, there was (maybe still) a very nice lady who sold on ebay and made appliance covers. I purchased one of her Vitamix covers and it's perfect. It's a quilted fabric and has a large pocket on two of the sides. She also did some custom covers for me. (I like covering stuff that sits out)

Look for a young couple or single m/f to sell it to. My dental hygienist joked if I had a Vitamix...(we were talking appliances).............mine had been sitting in basement for 3 years. Sold to her for $50 (I hate to see equipment not being used). Last week had a cleaning and she's STILL over the moon. Never saw anybody so happy.

@3threecats That is funny. Her mother and brother both have a Vitamix - but single w/housing + car + all other expenses she couldn't afford one. Said her M + B always get '"deals" - said her Mom screamed - WHAT ? - when she heard the price. LOL
She's a great hygienist.

@3threecats I use it to make nut butters, bread crumbs, blender salad dressings and sauces, making fresh fruit juice (I love pulpy orange juice) and chopping coleslaw to a fine consistency akin to Kentucky Fried Chicken's (you put the sliced cabbage chunks in with a little water, pulse to the texture and size you like, and drain.)
I much prefer it to using a food processor (which I have) since it is out on the counter already all assembled and is a breeze to clean up.
Hope these suggestions help.

I confess--I hardly ever use mine. Now with air fryer on counter, I don't have room for Vitamix so it is on a shelf. You know how that goes--hard to get out so I don't use it much. I have good intentions to use it more. I do like to make frozen fruit "ice cream" so will be doing some of that, I think.

I sold one with the metal canister (?) on eBay several years ago. I never used it because I couldn’t see what was going on inside when it was running.
I bought a new new one a few years ago and used it 99% of the time for smoothies.
Niw I use/prefer a Ninja “blender” for smoothies because I can walk away and it turns itself off. So the Vitamix is off the counter.
