I don't post very often, but I thought those of you that own a Vitamix might be interested in a great way to make home made apple cider. I loved fresh pressed cider but I can't get it here in Md. anymore due to some law that says it has to be pasturized. I was so bummed, because it doesn't taste right, so I thought why not use my Vitamix, except for I didn't want all the pulp. I discovered online that you can buy these paint strainers at Home Depot for around $2 to strain the apple puree and voila! You have perfect fresh apple juice or cider as I call it. It taste so good. I had never heard of a paint strainer, which is just a fine nylon mesh bag with an elastic band around the top. I also learned online that these mesh bags are also used to strain nut milk. Sounds funny
