I have seen the Vitamix demos in Whole Foods and saw one the other night on a Bobby Flay cooking show. I currently have a Kitchen Aid blender which is fine for my smoothies. I also have a Cuisinart food processor that I pull out when I have a lot of chopping to do. Would you consider the Vitamix a cross between a blender and food processor?
I would also like to know how you use it and if you think it's been worth it. I would like to be able to use it to chop an onion or other veggies in a recipe without having to pull out the food processor. Would the Vitamix turn them into mush?
I want to get as much info as possible before making this large purchase.
TIA!
