I didn't take it, but there was also a deep fryer that looked like a crock pot without the crock. It wasn't the old Daisey ones that had a crock insert. It was hard wired so it must have been a pain to clean because you couldn't immerse it in water.

I still use my original Rival crockpot from about 30 years ago. It is a pain to clean because the inside doesn't come out and you have to be careful not to get the outside wiring wet. Mine is kind of an orangey color with pictures of food around the outside towards the bottom. I usually spray it with Pam before I use it to help with cleaning. It has two settings - high and low but still works great.

I still have my olive green one from the 70 ' s......it was a gift from my MIL.......it still works but since the crock cant be removed I rarely use it.....I have 3 other larger crocks that can be removed for cleaning......I try to use the liners so that cleanup is quicker.......

I use my old crockpot for stew and soups. Best thing ever are the crockpot liners--almost no cleanup. Found them where the baggies and plastic wrap are in the store

I received my original Harvest Gold Crockpot in the 70s and I still use it. The crock does come out so it is easy to wash. I think it is 5 qt.

I was curious so I just looked at Ebay for the one I have and there are several available for about $40.00.

Wow! I scored a bargain. I am sure I paid well under $10 for it.

It still had the paper under the glass lid as well as the original booklet!

This is the one I have!! It's brown on the inside, right? And it has a glass cover, not plastic.

I have noticed that even though the liner does not come out, it seems to clean up better than the new ones with the black liners. I have a "system" down where cleaning it is pretty easy. Love my new old crockpot!

Funny, but "avocado green" and other greens are back with a vengeance! I'm seeing them everywhere, although they're calling "avocado green" by different names at the moment. I love Goodwill and congratulate you on your new find. Enjoy that green crockpot!

It will probably last much longer than anything you buy now too!
