I found recipes on youtube for fresh almond milk and figure that it has to taste better for drinking than commercial almond milk. I the commercial in my smoothies now, but I can't drink the stuff. I can barely stand it on cereal because of the sweetness...I get unflavored so not sweetened for me. I would love to see if the fresh stuff is way better than the commercial one. I keep nuts in the house...haha....so I have almonds to use all the time! I can make enough for a week and put it in my weekly smoothie making that I freeze in mason jars and pull out the night before, so I'm not playing with sharp blades at 5am.

Am so envious of your getting your new machine so soon!~ Mine shipped on the 15th. I, too, am going to try making the nut milks. I drink almond milk by Blue diamond that I think is very good. I am mainly concerned about there not being any carrageenan in any thing I buy and that brand has none but still has "stuff" in it. Can you get back to us about how your milk turned out? Would like a true and tried recipe.

Mine came in, but I've had a very hard and long week, so it is still in the box and I'm already in bed trying to relax. I do have some Blue Diamond almond milk in the fridge too!

During one of the shows Jan said it was a 5200, which is the most popular one and I also got that same one 3 years ago. I am getting this beautiful new one in glowing Amber not because anything is wrong with mine but I love the color and my daughter is getting my other one.
