Re: Ultra-thin TRISCUIT crackers--really good.

@ValuSkr That's one reason I like them. I loved shredded wheat as a kid.

One of my favorite things to spread on Triscuits or many other crackers is  Kraft Old English cheese in  tiny jars that sometimes  can be hard to locate in a store.  They usually get stocked in the dairy and cheese aisle, but can be just about anywhere on other grocery shelves.

Just about anything else also goes well on Triscuits.

I'm surprising myself.  Not a mid-day snacker as a rule, and I rarely indulge in crackers at all, except at parties.

So how did I get to this point where I'm raving about ......crackers?  It must be some sort of  pandemic need to throw parties for myself.

There are many of the Kraft Old English cheese in our local Shop Rite.

They must have ordered quite a bit. I like the Pimento Spread in the 5 oz size. So I bought several bottles every week. Then they had 4 bottles left and I bought them all.

They still had many jars of the Old English Cheese. They were at the end of the cheese display. Hope you find some jars.

@novamc1 I've always liked Triscuits. I love liverwurst spread on Triscuits. My family gags at this and my DH tried it once and said "How can you eat this stuff?"

I am now craving liverwurst!  I am adding it to my next grocery order.

Sounds great - I'll have to look for them!  I like triscuit and wheat thins -- my 2 favorite crackers!

I grew up with this stuff!  My Mother was German and we always had this in the house.  I  despise liver, but oddly enough I liked this stuff!  We used to eat it on toast all the time! Never tried it on crackers -- will have to give it a try!

@Love my grandkids

I am also a liverwurst lover. I mix it with a little mayo sometimes and eat it on potato chips. I especially like in with some swiss cheese and mustard

@SouthernBee

I have a hard time finding the old english cheese sometimes also, so I buy several jars of it when I find it. I make a dip with the old english, the roka, cream cheese and garlic salt. I eat that on pretzels. So very addicting!!

I do love the thin triscuits also

@novamc1 : Growing up in the South we could purchase a log or roll of bologna that was about 2 inches round and you could slice it thick or thin. We would put the bologna slice on top of a saltine cracker and then spread the Kraft Old English cheese on top. Mom saved the glass jars for me to use taking medicine or drinking my milk or juice.

Kraft is still using the heavy weight glass jars. I look at them and think the glasses are a nicer weight than many of the glasses I am currently using.
