I still have that and use it several times a week! Had one in the camper as well, so I saved it as a "Just in case"! Also still have and use my salt and pepper shakers (the ones with the snap on lids) and gravy shakers!

I have one bright yellow piece and green and brown pieces.  I bought the brown ones.  I think the green and yellow ones belonged to my husband.  Too bad, they were good pieces.  But they didn't change with the times and sounds like the quality had changed too.

The Rubbermaid Newell Corp. makes a far more appealing brand and type of food storage containers than Tupperware---clear with snap tabs on lids.

I'd rather have those than the heavy solid-colored Tupperware products I remember from childhood. 

Neither  my Mom nor I ever bought or used Tupperware.  I only remember it had many loyal fans back then.

We still use a set of 4 tupperware bowls, a meatloaf baking set, and measuring cups that I think are tupperware.  I have often thought about replacing the bowls with Lock and Lock, but those "locks" crack and fall off over time.  

I also went to tupperware parties, but in reality, I hated going to home parties.  They always felt like an obligation to go AND to buy something.

I did have some tupperware drinking cups that I threw out.  I emailed tupperware hoping there was a place I could send them for recycling, because the type of plastic would not be accepted at our center.  No one at tupperware ever got back to me.

@ECBG Oh yeah - I forgot about those sippy cups.  I had those too.  I think I got rid of all of them though.  I don't think my DIL would let her kids drink from something so old, lol.

I used them 15 years ago.  They were fine as long as tou don't heat liquids in them.

I have a set of bowls and tumblers.  And I use my nestable measuring cups daily. 

I see Tupperware at farmers markets, but the prices are insane.

I used to be a Tupperware dealer.  I loved it.  I had almost everything they sold in those days.  It was really a fun job.  The only part I didn't like was trying to coerse people at the party to have a party.  I even had a party at a guy's house.  He had men and women at the party.  He was a single guy and just liked the product.  I still have many pieces.  It kept everything fresh and I proved it one time.  I had some potato chips in a tall container and forgot about it because we were moving into a new home and 3 months later when I opened it the chips were still fresh.  I didn't eat them though.

But my favorite thing is a set of 6 square lunch plates in colors of the southwest. I got them before my children were born and we STILL use them! Some have a few knife marks on them, then there is the famous clay-colored one that DH put in the microwave when he didn't know better, but they are part of our family history!  

Just sad to hear another American institution going out.

I remember those plates!  When you said colors of the southwest, I immediately got a mental picture of them.  The reddish one stands out in my mind for some reason.  They're long gone, but we used them when the kids were growing up.  I had forgotten they were from Tupperware. Thanks for the memories!
