Just read my current Consumer's Report which rated dark and milk chocolate. I only eat dark and the Trader Joe's (listed as 72% which is good) has the highest rating beating out Godiva and other well-known brands. It was also one of the least expensive per serving. I've never been to a Trader Joe's but could go as there is one in my area. I'm wondering if any of you are fans of their dark chocolate and is it worth a trip there for it (wouldn't go just for that as there are other things there I've heard about and would like to try!)

I have been buying the TJ's Organic 73% Dark Chocolate for well over a year. The last I went to stock up, they didn't have the smaller bars in stock anymore. They had a lot of other varieties with other ingredients added in. I prefer the ones that are just organic dark. They are delicious. I didn't have time to find out if it is coming back in again. I hope they haven't discontinued it completely or for the warmer months.

Yes, we buy a huge block of their packaged dark chocolate. My DH cuts it up in 1 inch squares, and we limit ourselves to one or 2 daily. Very heavy and difficult to cut, but he can do it, I cant.
Also hard to bite into, best to just let it melt in your mouth. Once you get yourself into the store, it will become a habit you wont be able to break. TJ's is addictive!!!

In November they put out their dark chocolate sea salt caramels. They are insanely wonderful.

I have made a special trip to my TJ's to get the dark chocolate bars with nuts , they come in a three pack. I eat a few squares every evening or so, they are delicious. Buying them in the multi-paks keeps them fresher if you are only eating a little at a time.
I would say to buy several packages to keep on hand! I have made the special trip in the past and they were sold out!

Is that the 72% Pound Plus Belgium Chocolate bar (TJ's)? It's sooooo good! I know what you mean about being difficult to cut. I just finished cutting up a bar and still have the ridges in the palms of my hands to prove it! But it's worth it! Great dark chocolate!
