Earlier today I shopped at Trader Joe's and found cinnamon sticks and Pumpkin Pie Seasoning, each was $2.99.

I also bought their canned Organic Pumpkin. $2.49

Libby's is so expensive and cinnamon prices-ugh

Their Rustic Apple Tarte is delicious, I picked up one for the Holidays. $4.99, it was the most expensive item I purchased
Trader Joe's sourdough Bread $$3.49. It's not quite a match for the sourdough I used to find in the San Francisco Bay Area, But, it's as close as I can get anymore.

If you shop at any of the major supermarkets and Mexican grocery shops you can find spices in small bags for very inexpensive prices, my mom used to buy them.IMG_1749.jpegIMG_1751.jpeg

@Alsace Gal Thanks for reminder. Trader Joe's on for tonight! They better have that rustic apple tart. Also will pick up the organic pumpkin. I've been buying the Boudin Bakery sliced sourdough bread from Costco for toast and sandwiches.

I love Trader Joe's. We have one in our neighborhood.  It is well loved for sure.  There are many items I get there every week-- the yogurt & cream cups, the Especial Salsa, the gorgonzola pasta.  And of course the seasonal items.  This time of year is always great.  Now through Christmas they always have so many special items.

Thank you!
Rustic Pie is in the frozen department.

The organic pumpkin has a bit more liquid than Libby does. I put it in a bowl and drain the liquid, I seem to remember adding a small bit of flour to the pumpkin, a teaspoon?

I didn't know Costco has Boudin, there's one 1/4 mile from my house, I'll check it out.

The stores near me have the Libbys pumpkin for $2.00 per can and Sams club has 3 29oz cans for $8.98 whuch comes out to $2.99 for 29 oz. And I agree that the Trader Joes pumpkin has a lot more liquid than the Libbys.

That Rustic Apple Tarte is a winner.  Can also recommend the Pumpkin Brioche Twist.

@Alsace Gal  Did TJ's have this Rustic Apple Tarte before and I missed it? This is soooooo good! My diet "good intentions" have crumbled. Just had some after my lunch of sensible salad. Quite likely I'll be paying another visit to the Trader this week.

My dear sister and I bought it for years. Sometimes it's available through the year. I think it depends if they have sold all they have available in store and if they can reorder.

'If they can't reorder, it's because apples are out of season, then you'll find it starting in September.

If I don't see it I ask at the front.
It is delicious.
