Re: Trader Joe's is Pure Evil

Do not buy this TJ item unless yopu want to develop a jones for it and end up eating it straight outta the jar (with a big ole spoon) at 2am. BEWARE!

Re: Trader Joe's is Pure Evil

I love brussel sprouts - and they are available on a stalk for $3.99. I am on my 2nd stalk. I cut 6 or 7 up, add olive oil, S&P and nuke them in the microwave for 3 minutes. Sometimes it gets a little char which is the best!

I see the almond kringle is also available - I avert my eyes.

Brussels sprouts on the stalk look like nature’s jingle bells!

Jingle bells - love that!

I try very hard not to cradle the stalk across my arms and do the Miss America wave lol. I feel like winner every time I snag one during this time. I don't serve them during the holidays since I'm the only one that loves them. Eat them all year round.

I love them too, roasted especially. But nobody else in my family will touch them. I would love to buy the whole stalk but I could never get through them fast enough. Do the freeze well uncooked?

I don't know about freezing them. I go through a stalk as fast as a week and have have them in my fridge for up to 2-3 weeks. At 3 weeks, they tend to yellow and I peel a lot of layers off.  At 3 weeks, some still looked better than newly bagged ones. You can get some gnarly looking ones in a bag at times.
