@ECBG  Me too.  I use lettuce leaves or endive leaves and make  little wraps.  Sometimes bread is just too heavy.  Sometimes it's just what I want!

I had a chicken salad sandwich for lunch today from a local sandwich shop , they make it in house
It was delicious
I like mayo , sweet pickles ( I don’t like dill pickles ) , nuts ,grapes , celery and cranberries in chicken salad
In ham salad I like basic mayo and sweet pickle only
I can eat egg salad with mayo & sweet pickles only but it’s not my favorite
I ❤️homemade potato salad and pasta salad not found a store bought one I like

I'm pretty traditional and basic with my tuna salad - tuna, minced onion, diced celery, mayo, S&P.

I used to make a really tasty chicken salad with, onion, celery, red & green grapes, mayo but haven't had in a very long time.

Ham salad has never appealed to me.

They haven't really changed for me.  I don't mind a chicken or tuna salad sandwich every once in a while.  I prefer it with verylittle mayo but I'll still eat it.  Iknow I could control it if I made it myself but I don't.

Growing up, ham salad was huge in my area although my mom rarely bought/made it.  I was shocked to discover that our local ham salad was really made with bologna.  I think there are some delis around now that use ham now.

I do not keep mayo in the house I have never liked it.  But when I do need it for a salad or deviled eggs I just use Hidden Valley Fat Free Ranch.  Works great.  Love salads of any kind.

I fix chicken, salmon, shrimp, scallops and steak salads,  but in strips on a bed of greens and other veggies.or as a bowl too.  Usually pour ranch dressing or caesar dressing over top. Tuna is on bread. But I also like balsamic vinegar and avocado oil over top too. One of my faves is grilling romaine lettuce and making a hot caesar salad with those meats too.
