In my experience, the best burgers are homemade patties from fresh groud beef. I think adding a little salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce  before making the patty really adds to the flavor of the burger.

We get the Black Angus burgers from Costco.  I'm sure they don't taste as wonderful as these, but they're also not as expensive.  We just microwave them.  I try to do low carb, so they're convenient.  I wouldn't be making up a fresh burger patty just to have for lunch whereas I can pop these in the microwave for two minutes, put some cheese on and there's lunch.  I am curious as to the taste difference.  Fat = flavor, so I always go with higher fat for burgers.

We do our weekly shopping at the Rastelli's store and I can testify that their meats and seafood are second to none.
I buy scallops every week and they're so fresh, you would swear you caught them yourself.

I feel quite blessed to have such a quality store in my own neighborhood.

The beef is always fork tender no matter how long you cook it.

No, I don't work for them, but I'm a most loyal customer!

I realize some do not have big freezers, but this price is outrageous. We buy Angus beef, custom cut, wrapped and frozen for 3.00 a lb. That's 4 burgers for 3.00. The whole half of the steer is 3.00 a lb. Burger, steaks, roasts all the same. And very good.

TSV price is for convenience.

@Nomorebirthdays, where do you live that you can get a half steer at $3.00 a pound?  Is that hanging weight price or finished?    If you are less that 500 miles from me it would be worth the trip.

Re: The Rastelli Burgers

@Marp. NE PA, all wrapped and frozen. We get all steaks and burger. We are not big roast eaters. They ask how many steaks you want in package.  Local farmers and local butcher. They charge a bit if you want patties made but I never do.  Some around here charge more but highest I know is 3.45.  Gas prices are down so less cost in growing crops right now. Angus beef. Finished weight. I paid 914.00 for the half.

@Nomorebirthdays, thank you for the reply.  It is almost worth the drive.  Our local prices are higher for finished and unfortunately I am no longer capable of getting the hanging side and finishing myself. One more concession I've had to make to age lol.

@Marp. Yes that's alot of work, heavy work. The farmer that we got pork from has aged out. And I have not really looked into anyone else. Not many raise pastured hogs anymore. I loved butchering day when I was younger, family affair.

Y'all should get some of the "American kobi" hamburger from Heartbrand beef. One of the membership clubs has it for not much more than these burgers. Remember when hamburger actually had flavor? That's what these taste like. Really. And no I don't work for them, just a very satisfied customer. And the fat in them is actually good for your heart instead of bad for it.

I can tell you I haven't found any gourmet, grass fed, organic or any other hamburger that compares to them.

@dharts this sounds delicious.   Is the membership club Costco?

Thanks for that info, CAH.

It's good to know that this is a good brand.  Over all, I think that QVC has carried numerous good quality food brands over the years.

hsn, OTOH - that's another story.   I wouldn't buy food products from them ever again.   I think that, in general, the brands they tend to carry are inferior.

Thanks for that info, CAH.

You're most welcome. I rarely buy food from
QVC, but I know the quality of this one.
