Not really getting it. I suppose if you don't have an oven or range.

It doesn't appear to be much faster at cooking most things...and the idea of putting a steak in the microwave??

Blasphemy!

The presentation didn't state what the product is made of.

I was wondering what it's made of, too. Truthfully, I don't think I would try a steak in there, not with steak prices as they are. I would try the chicken recipe, though. I love kitchen gizmos. We'll probably wait for another presentation today to decide if we need this.

...and how do the microwaves produce infrared? This seems like they're pulling our legs.

I've had this for a couple of months and use it for salmon and boneless chicken breasts. I do flip it half way through so I get grill marks on both sides and they come out juicy.

I have had mine a couple of months. Made steak, sausage, veggies, pirogi's in mine and love it.
