Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

I have learned SO MUCH from Laura over the years....  I'm not a "natural" in the kitchen. I'd rather be doing pretty much anything else than cooking... but we gotta eat.  she made it incredibly interesting, fun and as I said, I learned how and why from her.  I also bought a ton of Kitchenaid products from Laura including the 600 Professional mixer primarily so I could make cookies at Christmas that have burned out just about every mixer I've owned (including my right arm!).... BEST kitchen purchase I've ever made.... I think the world of Laura~!

If Laura is leaving because of her own reasons, then I wish her the very best luck in the world.  If she was "replaced" (and usually that's why there's not a fanfare) then I say phooey to those in charge.... bad move.

Good Luck Laura regardless.... I'll miss your Kitchenaid shows..... Woman Frustrated

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

I don't watch many kitchen shows because I don't care for people stuffing food in their faces and bragging about it, but any time Laura Weathers was on, I found a way to be there - she gave me so many wonderful ideas and was such an absolute pleasure to watch.  Nothing beats a real PRO.

Oh, well.  I guess I'll have reason not to see any further KitchenAid shows if no Laura.  Looks like the "youth movement' has cheated us of another very special person on the Q.  Such a shame!!!

If Laura retired voluntarily, then I wish her many years of happy retirement and relaxation.  I will miss her SOOOO much either way.

If Laura left for retirement they should have given her a nice send-off....

I really liked Laura.  She knew the product very well. I really enjoyed it when she was on and I don't think this new woman can hold a candle to her.  I hope Laura is okay healthwise.

More $$$$ was probably offered to jump ship. Smiley Wink

The NN rep was let go, Linda is replacing her.  Speculation is the LC line is going away.

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

Funny. On Sunday's show David was teasing her how many years they have been at the Q. She came one year later than he.  NOTHING was mentioned about her leaving and I think that would have been the time for David to say something.  Love her.

On another note, you all do realize that most of the reps for the vendors are professional product reps that have no real affiliation with the manufacturer.  It is a profession. Most of their profiles can be found online-actresses, models.  The Tig lady now does Vera Bradley. The B Mak lady now does Marc Fisher. Linda now does Northern Nights.  They are hired by Q and probably okayed by the company.  Of course, this does not refer to the vendors/developers who present their own products on air-Denese, Gross, Roth, Geller, Mally  etc.

Interesting!  Especially the "profession" part.  I had no clue.  Thank you.

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

Wait, on Sunday, David asked Laura if she would be with him on Wed.She said "no".. If she was leaving for good, wouldn't he have known that?

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

Perhaps she is simply no longer doing Wednesday....

Maybe Sunday is enough for her.....
