I'm disappointed that QVC chose not to give Lara Weathers a tiny goodbye "send-off" -- or even a small mention -- before introducing someone else to take her place today, 6/1/16.  Lara has been the Kitchen Aid spokesperson on QVC for YEARS and has always done SUCH a fabulous job.  Doesn't that stand for ANYTHING, QVC?  I realize she was not a host -- who even then just disappear at times -- but she mattered because she was very knowledgeable about the products and was so sweet and personable.  To me, she felt like family and hearing nothing makes me sad -- like no one really matters....

@Christina from Dallasare you sure that Laura has been replaced for good or perhaps only for a few shows .... I believe Laura lives in Florida & maybe cannot make every show where just one kitchen aid item is  presented????..... what time/ show today was this announced?

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

They have been doing a lot of switcheroos lately with vendors, which I find confusing.  I would like to see or hear some type of explanation.  For example, why did Linda suddenly go to Northern Nights, leaving Liz Claiborne NY?  I understand that QVC is a business, and they have to shake things up & keep it fresh.

Does anyone know who is in charge of the vendors?  Are vendor hires an affiliation, or done In-house @ QVC?  I could be wrong, but I have had the impression that vendors in years past were an affiliation, while lately it seems to be done more in-house by QVC.  Does anyone know how this works?

Some of us have watched daily for years, some of us off & on for years, some of us only channel surf and don't really care...but those of us who have been faithful viewers for 30 some-odd years do appreciate being kept somewhat in the loop.  Maybe someone who has her Facebook'ed can let us know what the deal is?  I'm thinking she is probably just having a co-vendor helping out.  I really don't think QVC would just ignore that many years of dedicated service from such a knowledgeable well-liked vendor.

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

They said the new lady is a Pillsbury Bake Off winner.  I didn't know they still have that.  If she's going to succeed, she's going to have to be more assertive and speak better than she did today.  I wasn't impressed.

I wonder if Laura is having health problems?

@January121  Rick said the new person would do the Kitchenaid presentations from now on.  No mention was made of why Laura would no longer be there.

Is this woman a lot younger?  That could be why.

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

News to me and I never miss the kitchen shows. She will be missed. She knew her stuff and just wasn't eye candy. All business, etc. Knew her product line, etc.   Hard to find those kind of folk anymore.

Re: The QVC Kitchen Aid Lady

Yes, the new person is probably in her 30s but definitely not "eye candy" and not much of a salesperson and no personality decernable.

It really is none of our business why Laura left.
