Hi @Noel7, ![]()
I am sorry for your discomfort. ![]()
I can't tolerate the heat or humidity anymore, either.
It never used to bother me too much, but as I have gotten older, I don't like it all that much.
We get that lake-effect weather from Lake Michigan. At times, that humidity can get to be a bit much. ![]()
I like to use my slow cooker in the summer, as it doesn't heat up the kitchen too much, or I'll just use the microwave to heat something up.
I will also just use the stove top too, to fry some sausages for example, to have with some cold salads. Anything so that I don't have to use the oven, either. ![]()

Hi pooky, the odds are that very few people around here will enjoy 80 degree + weather, not unless they come from somewhere else
Your snow sounds good to me. Really. Really it does
@Noel7 Hey, maybe you'd like to switch with me here in NE Ohio? Anything below 75 and I'm freezing. My comfort zone is 80-85 (including the summer humidity that we get here). It's sunny and in the 30's here today......I'm sure you'd love it! Everyone around here does have A/C for the summer, but I only use mine if it goes over 90! ![]()

Boy - reading all the cool and cold weather is unbelievable. We had temps as high as 93* already and this week we will get up to 95*. Last week had the central A/C checked in the house getting ready for the real hot temps. But we do get up to 110* -115* during the summer. I did live in the valley the year we had record heat up to 120* and the airport shutdown. It is funny I am not sure I could live in cold weather now. How everyone stays safe during this weather. Our baseball opener was last nigh 4-4 and it was a wonderful night 70's , roof open (we have a stadium with a roof that was open). :-)

Really @3cupcakes? Wow, I like that
My ancestors came over early on, I know for sure they were there in the 1700s, and some stayed in New York, but my GGrandfather's immediate family left in the late1800s, but that was probably too long ago, lol.

.
I imagine that's very warm, very early for your area. I dread the summer heat this year. 77° with high winds here tomorrow.

It is high. We are usually in the 60s. I can't take the heat, I get sick, and I am not supposed to be in direct sun. The sun/heat triggers a lupus reaction in those of us with lupus.

Thank you, Toppers ![]()
I was thinking about using the crock pot, also, and I will if we have another heat spell like last year. Usually I don't eat hot food in hot weather, it makes me hotter, lol.

I wouldn't mind the thirties ![]()
It does get down to freezing here once in awhile.

Oh, I know your weather, I have to hand it to you, I couldn't do it. I was there for about a week and it was awful.
But I know a lot of people get used to it ![]()
