My mom and I love love the idea of temp-tations. We love the versitility, the sizes, the everything....but we would LOVE more of a simple color. I know it sounds boring, but just a plain color...even if its just on the outside. We must be plain janes. Is there any other plain janes out there?!?

I've been "fussing" about this for years. The patterns presented in Temptations are very nice if you like heavily patterned dishes. To me, the busy busy patterns tend to detract from the beauty of the foods you're presenting. I don't mind a little pattern - I like the polka dots, but the floral lace and old world patterns are just too overpowering, and the new one with the gingham look is even worse.
I think Tara needs to give some serious thought to some softer colors with less pattern - look at the success of Fiesta tableware. They've cornered the "bright color" market, but I would really like to see Tara do some pretty pastels. What a nice change that could be.

I totally agree @Perkup! I am a young married woman and those prints that they come in currently are just not my style. I would LOVE something plainer. Please Help Tara!!

Temp-tations has had lots of solids. Currently between Temp-tations.com and this site you can search for Vintage Grace (more of this is coming this fall), Verona, Classico, and Bella, as all those patterns are solids. There have been other patterns in the past that were solid and can be found occasionally on ebay.
I believe the thought behind Temp-tations has been that there is a whole world of solid color dishware out there, and the patterns are offered as an alternative to what is available in the marketplace. That said, there have been requests for more solids, and she has been introducing more overtime. Just a heads up though. When a solid comes out, it usually doesn't last for long, as they are designed and colored to coordinate with the various patterned pieces and are very popular, and there is never a huge line of goods in those solid patterns. In other words, buy early and don't expect to get the same number of offerings that you would find in Old World or in Floral Lace.
Tara has moved into some pastels in her printed lines, so the solids may not be far behind.
