Does anyone know why QVC quit selling techinque? I have a few pieces and I love them.

I really like my Techinique pieces, they have a nice weight and they hold up very well. Another thing, they sold a lot of individual pieces, sometimes you don' need or want a whole set.

At one time, QVC offered three lines of kitchen products which were exclusive to QVC (Cooks Essentials, Technique by Cooks Essentials, and Prepology).  Each of these lines had its own representative (Bob Warden, Meredith Laurence, and Eric Thiess).

Several years ago, QVC decided to combine all three lines under the Cooks Essentials brand with Meredith as the representative.  It has been this way ever since, and I doubt that they would ever bring back the Technique or Prepology lines.

When they first offered the Technique line I bought a complete set...it was plain looking but it was quite efficient and I liked it a lot..but as I got older it seemed to became too heavy for me so I gave it to my son and bought a Cooks Essentials set...much ligher weight...and it works just fine for me, too....

I still have a few stainless steel Technique skillets and recently gave away a very stained but excellent coated cast iron pot from the line. All are well made and seemed to be higher quality than the Cook's Essential line. They own the name, so it could come back at any time.
