TSV disappointment

As a long time collector, I'm disappointed/bored by the TSV. I know many are liking the new summer colors, and for those excited about that, hope you enjoy them. I'll admit, it is nice to see new colors, even if I'm not interested personally.

What is really disappointing is that when TT has a TSV, they usually bring several other new things in that day. Today's shows seem filled with the same old same old we've been seeing. I'm disappointed, but my wallet is relieved!

I just can't believe she won't bring in yellow! ${#emotions_dlg.mad}$ People want it, so I honestly don't know what the problem is. I've heard it mentioned it's a "seasonal color" - whatever the heck that's supposed to mean.

Yellow Old World was one of the last colors I got interested in. I watched it for years, and didn't see the value. Then I bought a piece. LOVE IT! I use it in the summer, and love mixing it with OW green and OW brown. Now that I'm in to it, its all but gone! I wish Q would get the message, that cream, lilac, and yellow lovers are out there, and aren't buying because those colors aren't available. Again, for those who don't know, Temp-tations.com has more yellow than Q right now.

I think many do their kitchens in yellow or blue with yellow, etc. I don't think yellow is any more seasonal than spice or tangerine are. I miss the Lilac even though I don't need or want more. Yellow would mix well with many of the "standard" TT colors like brown, blue, green, black, spice, etc.

We have the old world green and I have no idea what new color would go with that pattern so probably will not purchase. I like the lime and the orange. I would love to have just one pc in this line.

Hi mom. I know you posted on the other thread re: Polka Dots, but not sure if you saw when I added Tara has no say in what is presented on QVC., which is really ridiculous because she knows what we are looking for.

I feel the same, it's the same old, same old, in other colors. It's frustrating for long time collectors such as you and myself. I do check her website out, but I really like seeing it in a presentation before I order. I was hoping for the new Spring-fetti, a combo of all the new spring colors and that isn't being offered today. With Easter right around the corner, you think these items would be out and ready for order.

I was tempted to purchase the TSV as I would like some spring colored serving pieces to go with my Easter dinnerware. But I refuse to pay the outrageous S/H. With tax it brings it to over $60.00 and there aren't that many pieces in it.

I have seen Tara post on FB repeatedly about having no control over what colors, what items or when items air on Q. Really sad, because they obviously aren't paying attention to all the customer wishes, and they should be reading HER FB page more often.

So many are waiting on the Springfetti, and they are going to wait too long into the season, as they tend to do with other patterns, and people will be frustrated. I'm not sure Springfetti is my thing, but I want to see it in "person" too. I've been wrong before (like with yellow)!!

I have posted before, but I waitlisted all the Freedomfett that was listed, and it was all canceled. So disappointed. I wish they'd be more forthcoming (Q, that is) with what they are or aren't going to do.

I like Q for the video presentations as well. When you buy off Marketplace, it is a gamble when something is new in pattern or color, cause you can't get a real feel for it. I love the videos on Q for just that reason. Maybe TT.com will get to that place someday.

S&H are driving me nuts. Makes most purchases less than desirable for me anymore.

I did post on her FB page the other day. It's extremely frustrating, as you said, to think they are going to present something and they don't. Last year, I think it was in October, and they had just gotten in a 4 piece set, a tray with 3 little dishes, in red, white & blue. A little late I imagine?!

Not sure if you knew, but they changed the name from Freedom-fetti to Firework-fetti. This should be offered in April, in plenty of time for Memorial Day. Should be interesting to see when we get a glimpse of that.

Oh well, at least we're saving $$!

I am happy with the TSV. Since I'm new to Temptations (I've watched but have never bought before), I pretty much need everything. I was really hoping for a little more variety in shapes but really these are useful shapes at least. I do see what you mean though - there isn't much "new" available for people who already have established collections. But I don't know. How much stoneware does a person really need? lol. I'm just going to be throwing out all of my glassware and I can't wait.

I know exactly what you mean, mominohio. The TSV is just taking the round bakers and bowls out of the 24 piece set and giving it lid its and wire racks. This is boring. Also, I know there have been people, myself included that have seen their color just disappear. I'm a grey girl because it is subtle and not too busy looking. I like poppy passion for summer, but I use the grey dishes for everyday. I was told yellow, lilac, and grey are seasonal on fb, but here it is and nothing new for those colors. Cream as well. Even the stuff that was offered in those colors like the loaf pan is gone now.
