Re: TSV FOR WED. 2/7

[ Edited ]

I've never used cast iron cookware but have picked it up, and it's much too heavy for me.  I can't imagine how heavy it would be with food in it.  It looks nice but it wouldn't work for me.

I already ordered a set in grey.  In the past I really liked the deals on the cook's essetials cast iron, but my color wasn't offered.  Been waiting for the grey!   I have 2 pieces in gradient grey from when Shopko sold them, and I have an 11" braiser I got at Evine in the same color.  Can't afford the Le Cruset oyster.....  So these pieces will match what I have.  The only duplicate will be the 3 qt. piece.  I have one from Shopko, but it might be handy to have an extra smaller one.  So I'm just thrilled!

We have a traeger pellet grill, and especially like to use my cast iron in there for roasts and side dishes.  I usually cook with SS in the house, but I find cast iron is handy if you want something to stay warm for awhile.

Thank you for sharing the order number, Homedecor1, I was able to order a set to be sent to my BFF, she loved the single piece of CE cast iron I ordered for her for Christmas, so I hope she enjoys having a whole set.  She loves purple, and the CE brand is the only one I've seen offered in that color, and the price is too good to pass up.

This TSV sure looks tempting.  The colors are so pretty.  Unfortunately they are too heavy for me to lift.
