I'm so glad I ordered his TS! I cooked steaks in the lid grill last night! Turned out great...no oil,butter & "hot" spots and easy clean up!

Its so lightweight and love the color! It's true you can pick it up with a pinky (just like he showed). I also ordered the small everyday pot another winner!

I love all his products ...

I've been crowing about lightweight cast iron now for awhile.

glad to see it's catching on. Easy to clean and handle.

I was in Bed and Bath today and just for the fun of it went over and lifted just the lid on a La Crueset dutch oven and groaned can't imagine lifting a full pot and lid of that stuff.

Give that to the cowboy chuck wagon gang.

isn't this the truth!!! I can't believe how efficient they cook and how LIGHT they are!

I am selling all my LeC pieces and Cooks Essentials ...I can't believe how heavy they are! In fact, I carried the new pan on the palm of my hand.

Love them! And yes his products are awesome....going on almost a year with his fry pans and still NON-stick!

I bought a grill pan (Cooks Essentials) and when I put on cool burner it was FLAT yet once the heat hit the bottom it became "warped". I guess CE is not the quality it once was - in fact if the pan is not hot its flat! Go figure...haven't had this happen at all with CS or my Caphalon pieces.

ps: Thanks for always sharing your wonderful finds ... especially in those great RED colors!

I have a complete set of his cookware and 3 of the dura pans. I love to cook with them. My set is red. Nothing sticks and they clean like a breeze. I use the dura pan the most and that's why I bought 2, and then they sold the deep one and I bought that too. I would have bought the cast iron TS but I already bought the Cooks Essentials red one. It is heavy and I don't use it that often but I would have bought Curtis' if it wasn't sold out in red by the time I saw it.

I just my CS cookware (small set) I wanted the bigger set but "sold out".

After I took my new TS out I pulled out my CE braiser (used 1x too heavy) I was shocked at the difference in weight!

As I said his products are great & he's not bad either😉! I enjoy watching all his presentations -- like Meredith (blue jean chef) no hype--just sharing their cooking talents!

It's wonderful that you like this pan. I was so tempted by it, especially since he had a great blue that would match my Le Creuset, but realized I have enough frying pans, and did want a transparent lid and not another pan, so I passed.

BTW, the pan is aluminum, not cast iron. Here are the materials: Multi-Function Pan and Grill Pan made of cast aluminum with stainless steel disc bases Handles made of cast aluminum.

thank you I was thinking it was the same as the 4 qt. lightweight cast iron piece (cooks essentials) I bought on clearance...guess that would explain why I felt such a huge difference in weight!

although, the lightweight cast iron is definitely much lighter!

(I can't change the subject line or I would so not misleading to others).

either way still great pan for my use.
