TO THOSE OF YOU WHO DO USE COOKBOOKS...

which ones are YOUR favorite?

I always cooked each night for my family of five. I also held a full-time job and was mayor of my town. However, at the age of 50, life as I had known it came to a screeching halt when I had the first of a series of strokes. Unable to continue my usual pursuits, I found a rewarding life in cooking and especially baking. I now have two completely full bookcases of cookbooks, a trillion kitchen utensils and gadgets and a very happy family.

The three books I turn to the most (I have no short term memory) are "Taste Of Home," "Cooks Country" and" Betty Crocker"( for the basics.) I try to make at least 3 new recipes a week and have started a family cookbook collection to which both my girls have also contributed.

I'm sure that many of you share my enthusiasm for cooking and/or baking. Please share your thoughts with me.
