When we were younger my parents were away on vacation and so my sister was cooking dinner for her boyfriend. I stopped home after work quickly to change and he was in the family room watching baseball, and she was frantically cooking in the kitchen. I ran into the kitchen quickly to say hi and bye, and there she was stirring something in a pot with one hand and holding a clear bag with the other. She was making "boil-a-bag" veggies and she thought that you had to open the pouch and dump the frozen veggies into the boiling water. It was cauliflower in a cheese sauce!!! A little common sense!!!! As she stirred it she had absolutely no idea there was anything wrong!!! AND she was serving it with chicken parm!!!! She kept insisting it would be fine and I left just as she realized the cheese sauce was starting to foam on the top of the water. She still can't cook. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

The big question is, did the boyfriend she was cooking for become her husband?? LOL!

Great thread!!

NO!!!! And his mom was a great cook so he was totally grossed out by the whole thing. My sister is so easy going and carefree. She told me the next day he probably just didn't like cauliflower!!! No, that is NOT why he didn't eat it!!! {#emotions_dlg.lol}

You know, I just remembered one from a board I used to participate in....

One of the posters said she was having the entire family over for Thanksgiving dinner, and her mother (or maybe it was her sister) was helping her out with the cooking, as she had a new baby and things were a bit hectic. The helper made the mashed potatoes, adding the milk that she found in a small container in the refrigerator. Everyone proclaimed the mashed potatoes were the best they ever had.

After the meal the poster said she had to feed her baby, and went to the refrigerator to get the breast milk she had put in a small container..... {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

BF made me a turkey/cheese sandwich for my school lunch a few weeks ago. When I bit into it, I noticed he didn't take the paper off of the cheese. {#emotions_dlg.glare}

This is hilarious...! Must admit that DH (bless his heart) makes my lunch and often doesn't quite get the edges of the salmon wrapped... ewwwww... fish juice in my lunch....
