I just told my husband that we have some quick bread mixes left from the holidays, and they are now going to be snacks, breakfast breads, and desserts!

Pumpkin spice and peppermint?  Yep!  Now the newest thing in spring flavors.

I have cans of stewed tomatoes that are simply going to be eaten with a tiny big of butter and elbow noodles as a side dish.

What are you doing in the next few days?  Of course we have the inevitable tuna salad!  LOL!!!

@Sooner  I'm doing the same thing - I have 2 cans of stewed tomatoes I'm using tomorrow night.  Tonight I'm having a meal from my elementary days and similar to what you posted.  In the winter my grandmother used to make us buttered macaroni and make a can of Campbells tomato soup (I make it "cream of" by cooking the soup with 1/2 can of milk) and ladling over the macaroni.  I think I have a small chuck roast in freezer  and I'll make 1/2 that with onions, carrots and potatoes and another night make the other half and pour a can of the stewed tomatoes over the top.

Ooh I just realized I can make pancakes and I have syrup - breakfast for dinner is always good - and I have some sausage to go along with it.

I buy  the canned tomatoes/okra/corn combo, too.--brand name Margaret Holmes.  We love it.

Good ole Margaret also makes a mean and tasty Triple Succotash---a combo of tomatoes, corn and lima beans.

That brand, as well as Glory, are nice to have on hand in the pantry, and they have many good varieties of other  canned things, too.

I never thought I'd resort to canned veggies of any kind until I tried those a couple of times.  Vegetables at our house generally are fresh or frozen.

Re: Stuff In the Pantry--Let's Get Creative!

Pea salad since I have a lot of frozen peas and also celery to use and will add some mini Penne pasta, onion and slices of those cheese sticks in the fridge that DH keeps saying he'll eat.

French bread pizza - I need to use a tube of french bread in the refrig and also a jar of pizza sauce, frozen Italian sausage and a lot of shredded cheese

I seriously need to use up some Krusteaz pancake mix. Pancakes with bacon or sausage in the freezer.

Vegetable soup. I'll use some of those cans of corn, beans, tomatoes, carrots and broth, and add onions, that darned celery and a bunch of seasonings. While I'm at it, I'll make some corn bread muffins to go with it.

Potato soup....I have plenty of potatoes to use and of course all of that celery! LOL!

We made this in the IP the other night with GF pasta (4 minutes to cook) and it was very good!

@lolakimono THANK YOU!  Woman Very Happy  That looks so good and I have ALL the ingredients!

I'm sure some IRISH butter wouldn't ruin the Italian-ish recipe either!  Woman Wink

@Sooner I'd take those canned tomatoes, add some frozen corn and okra with a little Worchesthire and soy.  Yum!Smiley Happy

Or I'd make soup.

Using up everything in the freezer. I had a loaf of bread left, lots of tomato soup and cheese.

I have some hamburger so meatloaf tomorrow, I hope the milk is still good.

If I don't find someone to go to the store, it will be soup, box mac n cheese, ricearoni and canned veggies that I happen to have saved. I have some pasta so it will be noodles and butter.

Oh and it might be time to get the breadmaker out I bought several years ago and never used. I think I have everything for that.
