I have been ordering my groceries from AMZ fresh for years---with little problem and when they happen, CS makes it right. And I swear, I spend at least $100 less per order than with the grocery stores. But lately, I have been dealing with having a few items that I order, being delivered at a different time than the rest of my stuff.
And it isn't easy adding to an order anymore---so today, I have the bulk of my order coming at a set time--and the 5 items I forgot coming hours before ---but wait--it gets better---those 5 items are being delivered by 3 different people??? Not all 5 at once, but 2 people are each, delivering 1 item and then #3 is delivering 3 items----- all showing up at the same time??? Is that not the most bazaar thing ever??? Makes me shake my head----

Coming from different locations...happens with my orders too, I just appreciate the items are being delivered to my door.

I dont order food but I have this happen with regular items. I think it has to do with what warehouse and state its being shipped from. Also if it is ordered from a independent seller.

I, too, have this happen pretty often with any Amazon delivery scheduled for a specific timeframe rather than just a specific day. There are two large hubs located within an hour of my home, so it seems like this supports flexibility to offer a broad inventory, meet the set timeframes, and optimize the number of orders fulfilled/delivered.
The thing that makes me shake my head is how often an item arrives at the hub that is within 15 minutes of my house and then is sent to the hub 45 minutes away from my house for processing before being sent back down the turnpike for delivery. Amazon must have a reason for this, but it sure seems like a waste of gas and time to me (and of course it is frustrating that it means I never get a standard delivery before late afternoon or early evening).
(ETA: I also have the split item/split delivery approach happen when I order items from Walmart for "shipping" that end up being delivered from local stores instead. I once had two delivery drivers at my house at the same time—one in a Walmart van and one in his own car. I don't know that they paid any attention to each other, but I thought it was slightly amusing.)

Whenever possible, I like to use the 'save trips' option where orders are added to upcoming deliveries. But I realize that isn't always the case and my orders get scattered deliveries.

They are offering a lot of fresh food now through Prime so you don't have to use fresh or pay delivery. They have quite a lot of fresh food now, but they are delivering an order often divided up. They do frequently offer to change the time and will give you what is available. You have to go in an change the scheduling. I usually try to get my order in 2 deliveries. It works well for me. Since the sepsis I do not have the stamina so I get the order put away, rest before the next one arrives.

@wagirl Never ordered my groceries from Amazon. If you have manufacture coupons, how does that work?

Same here in our area that delivery used to be reliable not so much anymore here in the burbs of Denver.
Multiple drivers here too sometimes each bringing 1 item!

We had fresh food delivery through Prime for at least 3/4 of the year, they just stopped it a month ago.
It was great while it lasted!

Does Amazon Fresh have free delivery with a minimum $100 order even if you have prime?
I believe that's what they require here.
Loved Amazon Prime Fresh food delivery, no minimum!
