debic, thanks! Since this is the first time I'm making mushroom broth, I don't want to freeze the mushrooms.
Normally, I freeze the vegetable scraps that go into my homemade stock until I get enough to make it.

It reminded me that my mom used to dry mushrooms out in the sun all the time . . . it was so long ago I had completely forgotten but this site does have many methods for those of us that don't have dehydrators (although and I am not kidding I think I saw one at Aldi no too long ago . . .
).

mtc, this is awesome!!!!! When Scamper mentioned dehydration, my mind went straight to the REI camping section.
Everyone had great options! Oven dehydration will be the method.
